This morning the Kenneth B. Clark Academy in Dobbs Ferry was made aware of a potential threat posted on social media. The school immediately went into lockdown. Police were alerted and conducted a thorough search of the entire building and property. Police determined the school was safe and by noon we returned to a normal scheduled school day. Detectives were successful in tracking the source of the threat.
Clinicians are available to support students as needed. I will be conducting a town-hall meeting for students to discuss the seriousness of social media threats. Additionally, a staff meeting will be held after school to complete an incident review.
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any concerns or questions. Please know all students and staff are safe.
